About Me

Rhonda   I started practicing yoga in 2002, and have had a number of wonderful and inspiring teachers. In 2006 I undertook a 200 hour yoga teacher training program with Bhumi in Cleveland, Ohio. The program focused on the whole person, through practicing yoga postures, or asana, combined with meditation, spiritual practice and karma yoga - giving selflessly to the community. I have also done teacher training with Doug Swenson, whose flowing style and sense of fun resonates with me.

I teach a yoga style that has evolved from the way I do my own daily practice, flowing with the breath, in a manner called Vinyasa. This style can be gentle and calming, or vigorous and energetic... depending on the abilities and requirements of the class. Classes end with a meditative deep relaxation.

Whatever the level and speed of the class, you always come away with a feeling of calm, peace and lightness to last through the day.

Rhonda FlyingI started studying massage as a profession at the Healing Arts Institute in Perrysburg in 2006, and found that massage was a wonderful way to physically transfer feelings of wellbeing and peace to my clients. I graduated from Healing Arts Institute in April 2007 and became licensed as a massage therapist with the Ohio State Medical Board in June 2007.

And as for Ben

Ben has been practicing yoga since 2004. He has been taught in the Iyenga, Anusara and Vinyasa styles, and his teachers include the world renown Doug Swenson. He brings all the strength of his Olympic weight lifting background to his personal practice, but has a more gentle approach to teaching students who haven't ever felt the need to lift 350 lbs above their head! He brings humor and playfulness to class.
